Chen Yibing of China deserved the gold medal on still rings. The Brazilian guy who took the gold was really good but the rings were not "still" during his (admittedly very difficult) routine and he didn't nail his dismount. Chen Yibing held the rings in utter stillness throughout his performance and he stuck his landing perfectly. He graciously congratulated the Brazilian gymnast, but really...they don't call it 'still rings' for nothing.
Kirani James took the first-ever Olympic medal (gold, no less) for Grenada in the men's 400. Brilliant runner and a fine sportsman.
Yang Hak Seon of South Korea took gold in the Men's vault, with a near-perfect second vault. Both of his combinations had extremely high degrees of difficulty.
