Photographer Matt Murphy and I stopped by at Manhattan Movement and Arts last week where choreographer Emery LeCrone was working with dancer Richard Isaac (above) on a solo to be presented at the Columbia Ballet Collaborative's Autumn performances, set for Friday and Saturday November 18th and 19th at MMAC and Sunday evening the 20th up at Streng Studio, Barnard College.
Above: choreographer Enery LeCrone. The solo, set to the Prelude of Bach's Suite for Solo Cello No. 2 in D Minor, BWV 1008, is entitled "Interstice". The dancer moves between, on, over and under two long sheets of fabric which stretch across the space.
