While at Lydia Johnson's studio this past Sunday, we watched a rehearsal of a delightful trio called END OF THE MOVIE and set to three songs by Cake. Seated on a bench, Erica Schweer and Lisa Iannacito (above) primp and preen in unison, fully self-aware in a depiction of Hollywood-style feminine allure.
On the next bench, Laura DiOrio (above) is in her own world...
...and she eventually joins to other two girls.
The music has an infectious charm, yet the middle song Palm of Your Hand gives a more thoughtful aspect to this basically light-hearted, whimsical piece.
