With respect to DANCES AT A GATHERING, I belong to the first group of ballet fans - the "dreamy sigh of admiration." I think it is Robbins' best ballet and I never find it too long. You may recall the story of how when about two-thirds of the ballet was done, Robbins invited Balanchine to a rehearsal of it. When the rehearsal was over, he turned to Balanchine and said, "Don't you think it's a bit long?" Balanchine replied, "More. Make more!" I'm so glad Balanchine gave Robbins that advice and that he listened to it. I hope to see DANCES next week.

Thanks for the Chopin photo. I only saw a fraction of the people who are buried in Paris when I was there, but I did see the Chopin memorial in Warsaw, where his heart remains (literally).
