With the New York City Ballet season about to commence (and not a minute too soon!) the Theatre at Lincoln Center has re-opened after extensive renovations. Currently the NYC Opera are playing there but on November 24th ballet takes over with their opening gala, a nice long run of NUTCRACKER and then a rather unusual Winter season during which full-length ballets will comprise much of the repertoire.

Kokyat and I popped into the lobby after our visit to the Whitney and he photographed for me the new look of the box office area. Facing center, the illuminated wall shows dream-like images of opera singers and ballet dancers representing the House's two resident companies. By moving off to one side, the singers vanish and the dancers appear more clearly.
