Pacific Northwest Ballet have opened their season with a revival of Maillot's ROMEO & JULIETTE. Above, Bill Mohn's rehearsal photo of Carla Korbes and Lucien Postlewaite who danced the title-roles at the opening performance. Carla has posted about the experience at The Winger with some truly splendid Angela Sterling photos of her and Lucien from a studio/photo-shoot. The opening night is reviewed here: a triumph for the two principal dancers. Another review here. And a blog-reaction here.
From the Other Coast, Jolene Chang of Saturday Matinee indicates she's heading up the Pacific shoreline to Seattle for the express purpose of seeing the production.
Pacific Northwest Ballet will be at The Joyce from January 5th - 10th, 2010.
The photos on Carla's WINGER posting are phenomenal. It would be great to see this production here in New York.

Hi Jolene,
I was just adding a link to your specific review of the performance. From the photos, Carla and Lucien appear to be perfectly cast as the lovers.
