Nicholas Phan is supposed to have been wonderful (as Pedrillo) in that "new" staging of ABDUCTION, where all the action takes place on the Orient Express.

Yes, I remember he got excellent reviews for that.

AND a nice mention in the current OPERA NEWS (*two* Asian tenors!!!).

Andrew Patner

Nicholas Phan and Myra Huang will give the full recital program this evening, Friday 16 January, at The University of Chicago's Mandel Hall at 7:30 p.m. Chicago time. He'll also be the tenor soloist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra March 5, 6, and 7 when Pierre Boulez leads rare performances of the original 1920 version of Stravinsky's "Pulcinella" with songs.

Great to hear that the Rockefeller U. program was so fine!
