Monica Wellington writes about the New York City Ballet's opening night in Paris here.
A blogger's view here, with a curtain-call photo from her site. Palpatine (who I corresponded with after my friend Lisette Oropesa sang at the Domingo Competition last year) here. Another write-up in here. Watch a brief video here.
NEWS ITEM: Gerard Mortier, the director of the Paris Opera, bestowed the award of Commander of Arts and Letters on Peter Martins, ballet master-in-chief of New York City Ballet, on Tuesday.
Thanks to JRC for the beautiful photo of the Musee d'Orsay clock from her recent visit to the City of Light.
Great video! It was fun seeing Tiler Peck in there giving a little interview. It's fun to see our dancers talk as well as perform.

I wish the video was a little longer. Of course I loved seeing Faye and Wendy!

Philip, I am bringing you back some brochures being handed out at the theater about NYCB - including one which has a beautiful picture of Faye Arthurs in Serenade on the cover: I thought of you immediately! I hope you can read French because there are good articles and interviews with Peter Martins. Wish you were here in Paris - you would be loving it!

Thanks Monica! I will be able to struggle with the French, I think...
