The long-awaited return to the stage of Janie Taylor is announced at the New York City Ballet website. She is listed for the Jerome Robbins ballet BRANDENBURG on Tuesday January 8, 2008. This is the best news...
I thought I might post again before midnight strikes, but it's almost the witching hour and I'm winding down. Happy New Year, everyone...see you at the the ballet, the opera, on the the hiking trails, at the US Open, at the Three Lives Bookstore, at the post office mailing back Netflix movies, and in the voting booth during 2008!
Happy new year!
While I'm excited to see Janie back, it appears that Tiler Peck is nowhere to be seen and I know that Joaquin is injured right now too. I guess that's just the way it goes... some people cycle back in while others cycle out. Regardless, I'm very excited to see Janie back on stage!!!!

I think Tiler is listed for CAROUSEL, or at least she was. I have to double-check. She stopped dancing before the end of the Spring season and did not appear in the latest NUTCRACKERs at all.
Happy New Year, Sarah!

I've always liked Janie's uniqueness on stage. She doesn't look like anybody else but herself. And that hair! Welcome back!

Hi Perky...and Happy 2008! I can't wait to see Janie again. In such a short career as dancers have, enforced downtime is really discouraging.
Janie is truly one of a kind!

Tiler is still listed for Carousel and also, in a debut, for Fancy Free. After such a long absence, it's great to have both Janie and Tiler back.

Also in FANCY FREE: Briana Shepherd...have you noticed her yet? Very tall and distinctive.
Gonzalo Garcia debuts in RUBIES in the 11th.

I am so happy to see Janie back on stage! She is a truly dynamic and fearless dancer and I really missed her presence. Tiler Peck, as I understand it, is still injured "enough" to only be dancing minimally.....let's hope she gets better soon!

I hope Tiler doesn't rush things...best to let injuries heal thoroughly, I think.
