MORPHOSES, The Wheeldon Company, have had their debut performances at Vail, Colorado. Review in the Denver Post here and there is also a review in today's NY TIMES. Christopher's muse (and mine) Wendy Whelan is among the starry roster as well as soon-to-be NYCB principal Gonzalo Garcia and former NYCB ballerina Aesha Ash.
I thought it quite an interesting idea for Chris to program his staging of DANCE OF THE HOURS, created for the Met's LA GIOCONDA last season.
MORPHOSES will be at City Center October 17-21, 2007. {Photo of Christopher and Wendy in rehearsal by Paul Kolnik, NYCB}
All the reviews I read were great - in fact Macualey's was the only one that had even a note of reserve to it. Can't wait to see them, and I hope it's Hall & Whelan in After the Rain at Fall for Dance!

Hi Susan...I saw some rehearsal photos for the MORPHOSES performances of AFTER THE RAIN at The Contact Sheet site and they showed Wendy & Craig, Aesha Ash with - as I recall - Tyler Angle, and Maria K dancing with William Lin-Yee...but now I cannot find the photos anymore!

I can't wait to see it either! I'm actually quite jealous of Macaulay that he got to go out there!
