The first two weeks of New York City Ballet's Autumn 2012 season - which opens on September 18th - are devoted to the collaborative works of Balanchine and Stravinsky. After this mini-festival, other ballets enter the repertoire, including Justin Peck's YEAR OF THE RABBIT which premieres on October 5th.
Miro Magloire's New Chamber Ballet start their new season with performances at City Center Studios on September 21st and 22nd. Four works by Miro will be offered, including a premiere to music of JS Bach. The dancers are Sarah Atkins (above), Elizabeth Brown, Holly Curran, and Katie Gibson, and the music will be played live by Miranda Cuckson (violin) and Melody Fader (piano). Ticket information here.
