Dancer/choreographer Bennyroyce Royon, one of the most fluent and expressive movers on the Gotham dance scene, will be teaching at Peridance over the next several weeks. I love watching Benny in the classroom and I always feel that no matter what genre of dance you are at home in, his 'freedom of movement' style will be beneficial.

Of the countless hours I have spent watching dancers in the rehearsal studio, I remember with special fondness an afternoon I spent with Bennyroyce and Natsuki Arai as they rehearsed Brian Carey Chung's superb duet LONELY HOUSE. It was also one of the first times I attempted to photograph dance; that the pictures turned out quite well is a testimony to the beauty of the two dancers.
