Oberon's Grove celebrates its 1,000,000th visitor! My thanks to everyone who has inspired me and to everyone who has checked out my blog, from the everyday faithful to the one-timers who have come in search of a specific article or photograph.
Thanks to all the dancers and choreographers who have let Kokyat and me into their studios to watch their work at close range and who have shared their vision, their sweat and their commitment with us.
Thanks to my original source of inspiration: Kristin Sloan. I recently ran into Kristin at The Joyce...photo above by Kokyat, with special thanks to him for all his superb images.
Here are the top dozen most-Googled articles (not in order) that have appeared on my blog:
In The Studio with Justin Peck
Pontus Lidberg's LABYRINTH WITHIN with special thanks to Wendy Whelan!
Another series of articles that evoked an extensive international response started with this item which brought the work of British artist Theyre Lee Elliott to light. One of Theyre Lee's posters, above.
Blogging is a huge amount of work, especially if you want to keep it current. My blog has led me to meet people I'd only ever dreamed of meeting and to experience dance from the inside out, so to speak. It's rewarding, exhausting and sometimes frustrating but there's never a dull moment.
Congratulations Philip!
