Every once in a while when we are watching films from our extensive Netflix queue, there will be a face (or a form, or a voice) that captures our fancy. Last night we were viewing MRS. HENDERSON PRESENTS and we were both taken with Kelly Reilly, the British actress playing the part of Maureen.
I haven't time to say much about the film, which stars Dame Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins and really is very enjoyable, but Ms. Reilly's performance lingers in the mind. Her face seems at once hard and vulnerable and her portrayal of a seemingly uncomplicated young woman is rich in detail. Ms. Reilly has also been seen in PRIDE & PREJUDICE (as the haughty Caroline Bingley), in RUSSIAN DOLLS and L'AUBERGE ESPAGNOLE. Now I'll be on the lookout for her future releases.
Well Philip, you obviously don't read USWeekly - she is starring in the new Guy Ritchie film "Sherlock Holmes" and apparently, and I quote "is helping Guy Ritchie get over his breakup with Madonna !!
Apart from that, I agree, she is a good actress.
