This Sara Krulwich photo of Maxim Beloserkovsky and Irina Dvorovenko appeared in today's NY TIMES along with a
review of Monday's gala. It was not clear from article whether Ms. Lang's work was a piece d'occasion or something that is likely to enter the repertoire. I'd kind of like to see it, though. The review doesn't mention what music Ms. Lang used. Anybody? (You can probably tell from this entry that I am experimenting with the new photo and link tools on Typepad - see story immediately below this one.)
She used Mahler's Adagietto.

Were you there, Jose? What did you think of it?

As much as i hate"modern ballet",i was plesantly surprised with isolation3.There was not much actual dancing but it was very effective.I guess no choreographer can go wrong with the Adagietto music.

Any idea why Max is being replaced in CORSAIRE by Cory Stearns?

Actually, Max did most of the "dancing" in the piece. He did not looked like he had any problems.ABT seems to be casting Cory a lot this season. He is also cast in principal roles in Etudes and the new Tharp.
